Hello, Quilters…
let’s hop into spring!
It seems like Spring might FINALLY be on its way – at least we’re seeing sunshine a little more, and with daylight savings time now in effect that give us more daylight hours to concentrate on our quilting! Spring is also here at the shoppe, and we’re getting in new fabrics and patterns. Stop by often to be sure to check out what’s new.
Look for the lucky winner of the St. Patrick’s Day Pot O’ Gold Challenge in this newsletter. Congratulations to our lucky winner of 20 fat quarters and a free pattern!
Our second Moda You group will have their first meeting on Saturday, April 3. There’s still time to join in – call today to sign up. Check the newsletter for more details.
Don’t forget to sign up for QFL! Traveling papers have arrived at the shoppe and will be issued to team members soon. Members can start to accumulate traveling points beginning April 1. Sign up now! Our next meeting date is posted on the calendar
– call and sign up today. We will be having weekly specials in the shoppe that will be available only for QFL members when presenting their membership card. Sign up today and don’t miss out on any of the fun and specials for this QFL season! We’ll be voting on our mascot and team colors in April – don’t miss out on the fun!
Moda’s new Butterfly Garden fabric line has arrived and is already a big hit! Don’t miss out on this great line of fabrics in ‘traditional’ quilter colors and patterns.
Our inquiries for the Featherweight Club have been a great success! Our group of proud Featherweight Machine owners will be meeting one Thursday afternoon each month beginning April 15. Check out the calendar and call if you want to join in the fun!
Don’t forget to sign up for the Cotton Theory Class with Joyce Clark on July 17. Space will be limited, so sign up early to reserve your spot.
Our Thangles 2010 Quilt top is on display – we’re still waiting for the border fabric, but there’s still time to sign up for this block of the month. For just $3.00 per month you can sew one block each month and by summer you’ll be ready to get your finishing kit and have a holiday quilt all ready to go by December.
Don’t forget about the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge! We had a great start in February, but March has been a little slow. We’d like to keep the challenge going and build on the 59 pillowcases already gathered and ready for distribution to local charities. Here’s our call to all quilters – it just takes about a yard total of fabric, an hour of sewing time, and your end result goes to a worthy cause! Stop in today
to pick up our free pattern (includes flange and all finished seams), dig through your stash for a couple of stray pieces of fabric and sew up a pillowcase today!
And finally, we’ll be changing the schedule for our newsletter distribution. We are going to change to a bi-monthly distribution by mail. Email recipients will continue to receive monthly and/or periodic updates. We will, however, be posting new information on the web site
in between newsletter publications, so be sure to check our site often for updated information on classes and specials. Please contact us at the shoppe if you would like to update your email address.
In the meantime, keep quilting and we look forward to seeing you soon at the Shoppe!
Karen, Kathy, Sally, Sandy and Sharon
